im on my first month of pregnancy.Should i avoid hair straightening products during pregnancy?
It's absolutely fine.Should i avoid hair straightening products during pregnancy?
wow ive never beeen pregnant i dunno
I straightened my hair with a hair straightener when i pregnant
Hair straighning products are not toxic, nor with they touch your skin seeing as its made for you hair.
Do not worry.
Hairdressers do advice not to perm, dye your hair
Avoid any chemical hair products - they are all very toxic to growing fetuses. Do not even dye your hair.
As long as products that you use do not absorb into your skin, they are fine. Congrats~
Answer below is lying. You can color your hair if you'd like, although many women still choose not to. Yahoo?? is not the place to ask questions that affect the health of you or your baby, as you can see here. People will tell you whatever pops into their heads, as if it's true. Talk to your doctor.
Yeah. You should not expose yourself to hair straightening chemicals when your pregnant. When I was pregnant, the beauty stylist herself didn't want to do it becuase she said its dangerous for the baby. The same was said to my by my friend who had an aunt who's baby was aborted because of such exposure.
It is perfectly fine to use them. I have my hair colored every six weeks (even when I was pregnant) and it is safe. My hairdresser was pregnant and worked up until the very end using all sorts of hair chemicals and it is safe. Call any hairdresser, (or your doctor) they will tell you the same.
electric hair straighteners are fine if that is what you are talking about. The gels and mouses should only be used if they are mild solutions, and try not to get it on anywhere but your hair.
yeah no skin absorbant products cause it will harm the baby try to stay away from non- organic relaxers until you give birth and if your gonna breast feed then wait until after that also
you should avoid pregnancy! We have too many people in the world already.
I hope you stop at 1.
To answer your question, as the other answer said, as long as it doesn't absorb into you system - but beware as you may keep the chemicals from touching scalp -did you forget about your lungs? You can breath in the chemicals too and they are absorbed into your blood stream during normal breathing.
Since you do care about the health of your fetus - this is a good thing. Beware all sorts of chemicals as this and the first 2 years of life are when a chemical that would not hurt an adult system can do serious damage to a child's developing system.
I would go so far as to recomment you get only organic grown cotton - cotton seems nice for kids - all soft and all - but more pesticides are used on cotton than you could imagine %26amp; then you put that against the baby's skin!!!! it could cause nerve damage %26amp; perhaps autism. You can find many cool baby sites on google.com by typing in organic cotton baby and there are cool items - all you may need to keep poison chemicals away from your child.
