What's the best hair straightening product for African American hair?

I plan on flat ironing my hair for this weekend, I normally keep my hair natural and only straighten is maybe once or twice(if that) every few years or so. I was wondering what is the best product to put on my hair(especially the ends) to protect it. Well, the best thing i can say to use is grease or an oil based.Stimul-X is best, because it doesnt use petroleum based oils, it keeps the hair shiny and protected and it helps stimulate growth in the hair.

i use a keratin treatment. it protects ur hair, makes it shinny and makes it less curly then it is.
well use a chi and they sometimes come with spray to put in your hair
